<snip> *** You first must convert the mp3's to either AIFF or WAV and then from there convert it to AAC. That's the only way to avoid quality loss. You go to iTunes, Preferences, Importing and change "Import using" to aiff or wav. Then you highlight the songs you want to convert and you go to "Advanced, Convert selection to ...". Once the conversion done, you change the preferences to "import using" aac. AAC at 128kbps has approx the quality of a mp3 at 168kbps. I converted my whole library to aac and gained 4.5Gb of space. Not only on my Mac but also on the iPod! -- Cheers, Zoran.
