I have a 1400/166 with max ram (64?) that I run 9.1 on and it runs like a pig compared to anything else I use.
I just like the look and feel of 9.1, been debating if It's really worth even putting an upgrade into it. They were great machines when they were new and they still have some limited use, but I've also got a drool for that new G5 :-)

There is no support [by anyone] for OS X on NuBus based Macs [which the 1400 is].
Besides, with the max of 64MB of RAM and the slow subsystem, you would hate your life running it on that PowerBook. I had a 1400 and LOVED it but an OS X Mac it is not.

Howdy Folks,
I'm new to the list. But I wonder if anyone has any info on getting OS 9.2 or even OSX to work on a PowerBook 1400, with a Sonnet G3 upgrade, 60 MB RAM, or do I have to settle for 9.1 as the latest and greatest. Thanks for your help and advice.
