OK, here is one for you. I have Toast 5.2 and a Sony Spressa (100 I think)
external USB CD-RW. Worked great in 10.1.5 and 9.1 on my Beige G3. I upgraded
to 10.2. The Spressa stopped working and cannot be seen by Toast, or DiskCopy.
Moreover, it can't be seen in 9.1 now either! I just had correspondence on
Craigslist with someone with a very similar problem. Sony has not updates and
Apple's site says the Spressa is supported. Any clues?

Yea I'm Having a similar problem after upgrading. My internal sony 24x48x24 used to work great in 9.1, 9.2.2, & 10.1.5 burn supported, bootable, etc. After upgrading to 10.2.6 it's become pretty much useless. It's still recognized by toast and ASP,(burn & itunes say unsupported). it just flakes when I try to burn anything using toast. I just got done upgrading from toast 5.2 to 5.2.1 and it still flakes. It starts to burn, spins up like mad and then starts spinning up & down eventually toast says an error occurred and the disk failed to be written - then I have to force crash the computer to get the disk out since toast seems to lock up during the abort process. In 9.2.2 it gives me a "connection not stable" error occasionally or it just flakes also. I downloaded some support files for this particular drive to use it in 10.2.6 from xlr8yourmac.com , but I can't begin to figure out where to put em. The whole dilemma is getting very aggravating .
If anyone thinks they can help, it would be appreciated greatly.
