Is there ANY way to be able to boot into an OSX boot cd from an unsupported machine???
Tim,
As I have discovered, be careful how you use the word "boot".
1- If you mean boot from CD to install OSX then YES - use Xpostfacto (do google search to find latest copy with instructions - and its free), or if using Sonnet upgrade card go to www.sonnettech.com and they have an OSX enabler for older unsupported macs (I don't know if this functions with other manufacturers cards and costs approx US$30)
2- If you mean boot from CD (eg: Holding 'C' key down during restart) then NOT on pre genuine Apple G3 based machines (I think it works with beige versions!? - definitely on B&W and later)
Hope this is of help
Simon
