(Umax S900) concerns: Thanks for helping to clear up some of the confusion, but there is a question concerning the instillation of XPF that concerns me and I'm hoping for sone help:
As far as I understand it I have to avoid the CDs booting up that you listed (below including any 10CD). However in reading the instructions for using XPF it discribes how it will do the instillation and it sounds like it will use the 10CD to boot up: "Then it will restart the computer. The Mac OS X Installer runs in Mac OS X, so you will be booting into Mac OS X at this stage." If this is the case won't it then cause the black screen? Is there a way around causing the the computer to restart or to prevent it from restarting by booting from the 10 CD to avoid the blackscreen? Or is there some other preventative measure? Or should I cross my fingers and hope for the best and prepare to go through all the CUDA procedures? Thanks, Jim --- "Eric J.
