I would write a kernel extension, however I have NO experience in Mac OS X programming and do not know how different it is to Linux. Not to mention I have no access to Apple's instruction sets for the different audio modules that are in the PCI Macs (and the Beiges), if they are, in fact, different.
Unfortunately, I suppose I'll have to do what Apple wants us all to do: buy a newer Mac! I hate to shove mine in the closet, though... it works so well and is still plenty quick.
I apologize if I jumped the gun. I still feel that XPF is a great piece of software, and I can't wait to try out version 3 when it sees the light of day...
Michael
As far as I've been able to determine, That's an OSX issue (no analog audio and video) NOT an XPF issue. And since the big push has been for Digital audio and video, there's=20 not much hope for there ever being any support for it...... Unless.....=20=
Mr. Rempel, or someone of like genius, takes on the challenge. and=20 that's IF it's even possible to resolve this issue.
-The missing 2=A2 :-)

However, I would like him to concentrate on FIXING some of the broken features in XPF instead of adding new ones. Like, fixing the "no audio-in" issue so we don't have to go out and buy $80 worth of stuff to be able to record audio on our Macs.
Someone needs to write a kernel extension for that. There's no existing driver for it for him to load.
Why don't you?
