You can't boot OS X from an Adaptec 2940. In fact you shouldn't be able to see a 2940 from OS X at all, except there's a FreeBSD/NetBSD 2940 driver left in Darwin that Apple hadn't removed as of 10.1.5 (last time I checked). You need to at least install a narrow SCSI drive on the internal SCSI bus or a 50-68 pin adapter and move one of your drives to the internal bus. You may find that the Adaptec doesn't work well enough under OS X to be worth keeping... I had to quit using mine, it would go to sleep and never wake up. -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
