When in doubt, try a tulip.

Tulips are the ethernet cards based on DEC's 21140 chipset, later bought by Intel and improved as the 21143.

Tulips work with anything. Anything. BSD, Linux, Windoze, Mac OS X. Even Mac OS 9 (well, some of the time).

Alas, new tulips are hard to find. Second-hand ones tend to get snatched up by people who know they work in anything.

Still, good luck.

Gerald.

Anyone have any idea if OS X drivers exist for a Linksys NC100 "Network Everywhere" Ethernet card? I looked around online, and came up with nothing.

I threw one in my 9600, hoping OS X would pick it up, and it didn't.

If not, can anyone tell me if and what all normally-for-PC 10/100 ethernet PCI cards will work in a PCI Mac?
