Can't report much except I was disheartened to see my Radeon7000 & 20" Multiscan monitor were no longer set to 1024x768 @ 90Hz and that 85Hz was my new highest available setting. The lack of the "Show All" for Resolutions in the Display Preferences in Panther seems to me to be a significant step backwards from Jaguar. The display seemed "shakey" on initial reboot which came up 1024x768 @ 75Hz. It wasn't flicker, but actual side-to-side, minute motion. After bumping to 85 Hz, readjusting, and reinstall PCI Extreme, it seems OK I guess.
I had a panic upon restart, and the text said something about the Kensington Mouse .kext, but it was OK later. Panther itself seems randomly flakey compared to Jaguar. On my supported iBook there was a "Battery Update", which seems way, way overdue. I thought that the 10.2.4 or 5 update screwed my iBooks batteries, and no System updates helped whatsoever. It's probably too little, too late, to salvage these $100 each puppies. Kris Tilford
