What does it really take to play DVD (full-screen or large window) on your monitor?

I have a 9600/G4/800 with 1.2 gigs of ram and I watch full screen DVD's all the time. No stutter from video at all.....

I do have a Radeon 7000. I had a 32 MB Mac Edition in but flashed a 64 MB card which is in now.

I have an Acard running a Philips CDRW/DVD player in the DVD slot.

I also have a 120 gig drive on the Acard.

I have a hacked version of iDVD that runs great.

BTW, my Orange USB/FW card works excellently for firewire. I use it often with my video camera.
