I would also recommend partitioning the drive, with a system partition in
the first 8G and a user partition containing the rest... and a bootable OS
9 install in both partitions. There are scripts on the net for moving
the users to a separate partition.


Jaguar must be installed in the first less than 8GB partition.
Interestingly, I installed Jag on a 80GB drive (no partitions) in my G4 Yikes, removed it and installed the drive in my Beige G3/300. It booted fine and I was happily using it. But, when total files went above 8 GB the Beige would no longer boot.
