hi simon,

we used to have a 8500av which had video capture on a 'personality' board.
you could capture really jerky video about the size of a postage stamp! the
other problem was it had a 1gig hd so not enough room.

i think the major problem was the processor speed so it depends what machine
your running on?

if it's relatively beefy, i'd suggest dumping the windows tv cards and plum
for a 'my video' usb tv in:

seen one of these plugged into a g3 imac capturing 640x480 with sound at
25fps - not bad. at �60 (in the uk) it's a snip and a lot less hassle than
trying to get a windows card to work.
