Thanks Peter, I remember that ASP reported better under OS9. I am
running it under OSX currently. I like X but maybe I'll boot to 9. Why
didn't I think of that? And I'll try InforMac too. Thanks for the tips,

Are you using ASP under X or 9? ASP under X seems to just report
what the OS claims to have detected at boot. ASP under 9 has direct
access to the hardware and can generally do a better job of diagnosis,
though it's often a bit out of date when it comes to reporting
hardware.
You might try InforMac under X, though. It uses the same sort of
resources as ASP but sometimes seems to do a better job with them.
