10.3.5 is out today. I used Software Update on several unsupported machines. One thing strange I noticed. Apple Software Downloads lists the 10.3.5 update at 43 MB, and the combo 10.3.5 was listed at 88 MB, but on one or two drives Software Update gave me a 22.9 MB version, while a different drive on the same machine got a 43 MB version? Perhaps I can look in the receipts to see what the difference was, but something seemed amiss. I took some screenshots just to document the two versions I got (both going onto identical 10.3.4 drives).
Perhaps using software update wasn't such a smart idea. It was fine on my Beige, but Software Update seized frozen solid twice on my 7500, once while downloading before anything was installed, and once after installing everything but at only 68% optimized. Luckily there are utilities to finish the optimization. I'd recommend downloading rather than using Software Update if possible, which is what I normally do. Kris
