June 28th sees the launch of tank.tv's first DVD, Fresh Moves: New Moving
Images from the UK.

This event, comprising of a screening, panel discussion, music and an
introduction to the project is a celebration to mark the launch of tank.tv's
first DVD, Fresh Moves: New Moving Images from the UK. The ICA's theatre
will play host to a selection of the included works as well as a talk
between artists and curators involved.

The following artists will be participating in a brief discussion about the
art of moving images and Fresh Moves:

Ergin Cavusoglu
Ergin Cavusoglu was born in 1968 in Bulgaria and studied at the National
School of Fine Arts "Iliya Petrov, Sofia, in the early 1980s. He represented
Turkey at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003 and was shortlisted for the 2004
Beck's Futures Prize. Recent exhibitions include Quintet Without Borders,
Haunch of Venison Zurich; Point of Departure, John Hansard Gallery,
Southampton; Entanglement, Dundee Contemporary Arts, Dundee; the 8th
Istanbul Biennial; British Art Show 6 and the 3rd Berlin Biennial. His work,
Impasse, is included in Fresh Moves.

Steven Eastwood
Steven Eastwood was born in London in 1971 and is an artist filmmaker whose
practice spans experimental fiction, documentary and essay film, artists
moving image and live art. His single screen films and installations have
been exhibited at the ICA, BAFTA , the European Media Arts Festival,
Osnabrück and LUX. He writes on filmmaking as a social situation and is a
senior lecturer in time-based arts. He was commissioned by tank.tv to
produce an interview with Benjamin Cook (director of LUX) for Fresh Moves.

Stephen Sutcliffe
Stephen Sutcliffe was born in Yorkshire in 1968 and lives and works in
Glasgow. Recent solo exhibitions include: Tart Contemporary, San Francisco,
2005; Project Space, Tramway, Glasgow, 2003. Group exhibitions include:
Archeology of Today, Kosova Art Gallery-Museum, Prishtina and Els Hanappe
Underground, Athens, Greece, 2005/6_ Art Now, Light Box, Tate Britain, 2005,
Venice Biennale, 2003. His work, Come to the Edge, is included in Fresh
Moves.

Anja Kirschner
Anja Kirschner was born in 1977 in Munich, Germany and trained at the Slade
School of Fine Art and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work
spans a number of disciplines – film, painting, drawing and music – and
collides documentary and historical sources, literary themes and popular
genres like sci-fi and adventure. She was the winner of the Beck's Futures
Student Film and Video Prize in 2002, and has exhibited internationally in
film festivals and galleries. Her work, POLLY II, Plan for a Revolution in
Docklands (trailer) is included in Fresh Moves .
