This year, the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America (ELDoNA) is 
returning to Salem Lutheran Church in Malone, Texas for its annual Synod and 
Colloquium.

     The Colloquium is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12, and will begin at 8 
A.M., concluding with a Vespers service at 5 P.M. Six presentations by members 
of the ELDoNA are scheduled:
       • “Liturgy vs. Ceremony: What Constitutes True Unity in Worship,” by 
Dcn. Dulas
       • “The Extent of the Applicability of the Word and Confessions: How Does 
Context Limit
            or Shape Our Reference to Scripture and Symbols?,” by Pr. Stefanski
       • “Perpetual Catechesis—The What, Why, and How,” by Pr. Tolar
       • “An Advent Workbook,” by Pr. Henson
       • “Dr. Mannermaa and St. Augustine,” by Pr. Rutowicz
       • “The Enduring Influence of the Hermetic Reformation,” by Bp. Heiser

Following Vespers, the Colloquium will adjourn to a local restaurant for our 
Convivium. Our speaker will be Eric Rachut, M.D., a member of Salem Lutheran 
Church, who will speak to us on the topic of medical ethics.

    Attendance at the Colloquium is open to the public; the $30 fee covers the 
conference, all papers, meals at Salem, and the Convivium. The fee may be paid 
at Salem on the day of the Colloquium and Convivium, but prior notice of the 
intention to attend would be appreciated, so that we may plan accordingly.
