Dear Christians: Greetings in the Shepherd, who became a Lamb, that He
might lead us through the valley of the shadow of death.
Please be reminded via this "unusually" early notification, that our
"usually" monthly meeting of the Lutheran Confessions Study Club, will
convene on Monday, May 3, at 9:30am, here at Saint John Lutheran Church,
Audubon, Iowa.
Following the Office of Morning Prayer at 9:30am, we are poised to continue
our study of the Formula of Concord. We will, Christ-willing, transition
from our discussion of Article I, concerning "Original Sin," to Article II,
concerning "Free Will." You may wish to read those sections of the Formula
of Concord's Solid Declaration in advance of the study.
During lunch and thereafter, time will be afforded for a number of issues
of casuistry to be discussed. Please, brother pastors, if you are able,
plan to stay past the time allotted prior to the noon hour, as a brother
Pastor has asked for the opportunity to speak with us.
We look forward to seeing you here in Audubon Monday morning.
