Dear Christians: Greetings, in the Christ of God, Jesus.
Please be reminded: Monday, June 7, we will meet here at Saint John
Lutheran Church, Audubon, Iowa, for our monthly convocation of the Lutheran
Confessions Study Club.
We will continue our discussion of the Solid Declaration of the Formula of
Concord, concerning ... "'Free Will, or Human Powers', since a division has
occurred not only between the Papists and us, but also among some
theologians of the Augsburg Confession themselves, concerning free will...We
shall, first of all, show exactly the points in controversy."
Please consider joining us Monday morning for Morning Prayer at 9:30am
followed by study of the Confessions until noon. Those who are able will
enjoy lunch together at the church over the noon hour, followed by a time of
pastoral care for the brethren with concerns of casuistry.
