NEW STARKE HYMNS, MAGNESS PSALM SETTINGS, AND MORE FROM LITURGY SOLUTIONS This summer has seen a flurry of activity on the Liturgy Solutions website. In addition to the increased number of hymn stanzas and propers for choirs, they have added a section of congregational hymnody for your consideration. These may serve as choir anthems or as great supplements to your the hymn repertoire of your parish. As always with Liturgy Solutions, solid texts are featured: six hymns by Starke, one by Peter Prange, and one by old Luther himself. Four of these are brand new hymns, the others are new tunes you may wish to use for hymns already in the LSB. In addition, Phillip Magness has added some alternative hymn accompaniments ranging from Renaissance-style brass for "All Glory Be to God on High" to a piano accompaniment for "Listen! God Is Calling" in his unique style. Also offered is a setting of Psalm 148 for organ & lector by Jeffrey Blersch, and a modern notation edition of the sacred harp classic, "Hallelujah!". And, of course, new settings of the appointed psalms and propers for the One- and Three-Year Lectionaries continue to be added monthly.
