The December gathering of the Nebraska Lutherans for Confessional Study (NLCS) will be held on Thursday, December 9 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Lane in Lincoln. Refreshments will be in the fellowship hall at 9:30 am followed by Matins at 10 am. Presenter for the morning will be Rev. Micah Gaunt, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna, NE, beginning a study on The Smalcald Articles. The morning session will start at about 10:30. Following lunch the afternoon topic, starting at about 1 pm., will be by Rev. Brent Kuhlman from Trinity Lutheran Church in Murdock. His presentation will be “The Three Causes of Conversion in Philipp Melanchthon, Martin Chemnitz, David Chytraeus, and the Formula of Concord.” Meeting will conclude by 2:30 pm. Everyone is invited, both clergy and laity. A free-will offering will be taken to help defray expenses.
