[UPHPU] Sending an email between specific times.

I have an email list from an affiliate that I can only send to between 
10 PM and 4 AM. Is there a way to code it so that it only sends out 
during that time?

I know how to start it from cron, but how do I stop it? And, I'd rather 
do it all in the same script if possible.

I'm using php CLI for this.
