First, don't worry about that on this list. Everyone here is very good at helping even the newest of newbies. (Aren't we all newbies to some degree) No one on this list has ever made me feel stupid like you tend to get on other lists. Also, there is regex. I have talked to some very experienced and skilled programmers who just can't understand why regex is even necessary. While others swear by it. To me regex is an aquired taste. And after working with regex in a *nix environment for more than 20 years I still wonder on some problems if I there is more that I can figure out. As I said, some seem to have it all figured out but to some it may always present a challenge.
