while i completely concur with wade's concise assessment, let me just say that i don't feel 100% comfortable with the cross platform tests until the have passed the "real" thing. for example, i can run windows under wine, and test there, but i know that i feel much better when i boot a windows machine natively and test using all if it's [native] browsers.
I agree. That's how I approach Firefox. Test during development just on a Mac OS, but then do a quick final test on Microsoft Windows just before it goes out the door.
