They have pre-configured images of all of the following distros: Arch, CentOS, Debian, Fedora Core, Gentoo, OpenSUSE, Slackware, and Ubuntu. But you can roll your own custom distro if you want using this guide: http://thegrebs.com/~michael/custom_howto/ They provide an image of Finnix that you can boot your Linode into that doesn't count against your disk usage that you can mount any of your disk images onto and work on them. It can be helpful if your image doesn't boot for some reason or you want to backup your disk images or upload your own disk image. If your networking isn't working for whatever reason, there's LISH (LInode SHell) that serves as a console to your Linode. If you're feeling grateful, use my referral code if you sign up: http://www.linode.com/?r=9d93f8113d6ac60e97d0769efd6f167a812f620b I really wish they had referral bonuses back when I convinced about 5 or 6 other friends to switch to Linode... not that it was hard to convince anyone, they sell themselves.
