| About a third of the requests I receive to join our LinkedIn Group are from recruiters.
Wade, I like the idea of all recruiters who are actively recruiting to post ALL their positions on the channels already designated, the web page and jobs mailing list. I occasionally get contacted by recruiters with info on PHP jobs and I hand them out to people who I know are looking, this is fine too as sometimes this is a very delicate matter. That said, i think if they are looking for networking or are a friend to technology, let's let them join. a very discreet job offer directly to a known individual never hurt anybody. else, general posts to the group of offers should be warned, then booted. For the curious or recruiter, here are the locations you can visit: Post a job : http://uphpu.org/employment/ <http://uphpu.org/employment/>(recruiters, please note, if you don't post a salary, trends are you won't be contacted {i've been asked before by recruiters why nobody was nibbling on their offers}) sign up for job mailing list : http://uphpu.org/mailman/listinfo/uphpu-jobs <http://uphpu.org/mailman/listinfo/uphpu-jobs>(a great discreet {if you don't have it going to your work email!} way to survey what is out there) look-see what has been sent in already : http://uphpu.org/pipermail/uphpu-jobs/2010-June/date.html#399 mj/v _______________________________________________ UPHPU mailing list [email protected] http://uphpu.org/mailman/listinfo/uphpu IRC: #uphpu on irc.freenode.net
