Hey Everyone! So as Mac Newbold announced earlier, I will be taking over duties as the UPHPU president. I'd first like to thank Wade, Victor, Mac, and the so many other people who have helped UPHPU grow to what it is today. In 2013 we'll be celebrating 10 years of the Utah PHP Usergroup, which is one of the oldest PHP uaergroups ever. Thank you guys, we'll makes sure to keep the group going. :)
Now, for December, we won't be having a meeting. However, in the past I know we have had people just not have a meeting and skip straight to the after party at Applebees. So let me know if anyone is interested in just a get together at Applebees on Dec. 20th, and we'll do something like that. Now, as some of you may have heard, C7 has been having a lot of growth and they need to convert our meeting space to office space to accommodate their growth. We are so excited for C7 and extremely grateful for them letting us use their space, but this does leave us in needing to find a new venue. I'll be working with a few leads and we'll have a new place in January for these meetings. I'm hoping to keep it close to where C7 is, since its really good for both people in SLC and Utah County. This leads me to my last topic, as always we're looking for presenters for 2013! I've had a few people let me know they're willing to present, but we still need more. Also, if someone would like to try presenting, but if a full presentation is a little daunting, we can let people try it out with a quick 10 minute presentation on anything web-tech related. So please let me know. Thanks everyone for making 2012 such a great year for UPHPU, and we're looking forward to 2013!
