Let's not forget the *openwest conference* (previously the utah open source
conference) -- last year there were definitely some good PHP presentations.

I would expect the next one to be in september again, but I'm not 100% sure
of that.

I think going to the UPHPU group meetings can help a lot too -- going to
those meetings has made me a much better PHP developer. Some of the best
things I have learned have been after the meetings at Applebees.
