The appropriate approach would be to create a diff of your changes then check out the same branch/version from SVN and apply the diff locally.

Is there some automated way to switch from CVS to Subversion in my checked-out version of uPortal which has a dozen of modifications? If check it out of Subversion again, I will loose all my modifications and then I will have to manually change the modified files.
