Hi, I was talking with Andrew Petro and Andrew Wills about the uPortal
2.6.0 build.properties file.
It occurred to us that because uPortal 2.6 now requires JDK 1.5, it will
be very hard, possibly "improbable", to deploy uPortal 2.6 on Tomcat 5.0.x.
Given this, does it make sense to remove the line that is currently
commented out in build.properties for the tomcat 5.0.x config file, and
to remove the tomcat 5.0.x config file (currently named uportal.xml)
from the properties directory?
Andrew Wills and I agree tha change makes sense, but it's not the kind
of change I want to do without some kind of validation from the
developer community.
