[uportal-dev] uPortal 2.6.0 RC2 now available

uPortal developers, uPortal 2.6.0 release candidate two is now available from the uPortal downloads page. I hope it will be particularly helpful to have a latest-code release candidate available going into this conference,  making a binary available for easier testing, and providing a concrete artifact to talk about and open issues against. Twenty-two non-trivial Jira issues have been resolved since release candidate one. Release notes are available in the wiki. 2.6.0 includes many enhancements and fixes, including both those developed along the 2.5.x branch and new ones: Drag and Drop preferences fixed handling of portlet preferences a pluggable DLM processing pipeline XHTML output fixes and performance enhancements, including some derived from Unicon's Academus product CSyndFeedReader syndicated feed reader channel a more deployer-friendly approach to adding dependencies to uPortal builds dedicated error rendering thread pool now includes Eric Dalquist's Bookmarks Portlet and Cris Holdorph's Google AJAX search API integration portlet as examples of JSR-168 support updated versions of dependencies support for JSP as a channel view technology Many people have contributed code, testing, feedback, and issues so far for uPortal 2.6.0, including Faizan Ahmed, Nick Bolton, Jen Bourey, Mark Boyd, Susan Bramhall, Eric Dalquist, Don Fracapane, David Grimwood, Cris Holdorph, Brad Johnson, George Lindholm, Elliot Metsger, and Jason Shao, to name a few.
