i have a rather unique situation that i hope someone can help me resolve...
i am trying to install and run uPortal 2.6 RC2 in the following environment:
- mac osx
- netbeans 5
problem summary
---------------
- up26 requires xalan 2.7.0
- netbeans 5 has issues with xalan 2.7.0
- the netbeans folks suggest running two instances of the jre. one for
the netbeans ide and one for the up26 project (details:
http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/FaqXalanOnCP).
- to complicate matters, mac osx is not real friendly about installing
multiple instances of the same jre
has anyone ever run into this or a similar situation? i'm hoping that i
can somehow use one jre, but provide an override for the xalan stuff for
the up26 project.
