+1 from me. Rutgers has had this patch in production for about a year and a half now. It has improved our performance & scalability greatly.
Thanks,
Tuy.

We have similar modification with the additional function of a background thread to automatically refetch the external document periodically. I'd love to see the RU code checked in.

Seems like -dev is the place for this.

Seems like a good patch. I'd assume the default mode will be 'off'?

Hey folks,

If no one has objections, I'd like to commit the " Global Channel Content Caching (GCCC)" patch developed by rutgers and described in detail here: http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/x/T0I.

JHU has had this patch in production for some time, and I'd be surprised if rutgers doesn't run it as well (obviously). Is anyone else using it?

It's intended to improve performance & scalability of WebProxy and GenericXSLT channels.

I've created UP-1888 to track the effort.
