This release includes the following new features and fixes:
* The default portal content has been revised. The tabs and content
are now much more appropriate for each user along with better
showcasing the functionality and possibilities of uPortal. A huge
thank you to Gary Thompson from Unicon and Jen Bourey from Yale
for this work put together on a very short time line.
* Simplified JDBC and uPortal webapp name configuration.
* Resolved an exception with portlet preferences on Oracle UP-1977

*Note: This release has made changes to the uPortal database. To use RC3
against the same data base as RC2 you will need to use the 'crn-export'
ant task to export all of your data, then drop and re-create your
database with the exported data. Manual

Source and Quick Start downloads are available on the uPortal All Release <http://www.uportal.org/release/allReleases.html> page. The generated Maven site which includes JavaDocs and other interesting content is available as well: http://developer.ja-sig.org/projects/uportal/3.0.0-RC3/
This Release Candidate is Feature Complete. At this point the only changes that will be made before a General Audience release are bug fixes. I would encourage everyone to try the release and please file bugs that you find in the JA-SIG Issue Tracker <http://www.ja-sig.org/issues/secure/CreateIssue.jspa?pid=10020&issuetype=1&Next%3E%3E=Next%3E%3E>
I want to thank everyone who contributed to the development both directly and in-directly. Having this developer community available for both code and design insight has been invaluable.
