Theron,

Those instructions are no longer valid.

Those instructions were valid for integration of an earlier version of the Fluid Layout Reorderer for the purpose of testing the integration. Since those instructions were written, the Layout Reorderer has been rebuilt, the integration issues and details with uP3 ironed out, and changes made to the 3.1 code. All of that work is in the 3.1 trunk.

The Fluid Layout Reorderer has been fully integrated with the upcoming uP3.1 release, and will be the single, default, out-of-the-box drag-and drop.

Regardless of uP3.x version, you should use the latest Layout Reorderer in the Fluid Infusion 0.5 release. Integration into a 3.0.x release of uPortal will follow *similar* instructions as the previous ones but with some marked differences.

To summarize, the "complete" integration is uP3.1, and no work will be necessary to use it on that release. Enough has changed through the integration process that the old instructions are no longer valid. Integrating on a 3.0.x version of uPortal will necessitate recreating the work done on the 3.1 release. There are of yet no updated instructions for integrating on a 3.0.x version of uPortal. You might try comparing the files and scripts mentioned in the old instructions with what is in the 3.1 trunk to note the differences.

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if Gary Thompson’s guide for integrating the Fluid Reorderer into up3 (http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Integrating+the+Layout+Customizer+on+uPortal) is still applicable?

I am interested in integrating the Reorderer, but not quite ready to go all the way to 3.0.2.

Best,

Theron
