Having long desired to see our community standardize on markup and css
for UI development, and being knee-deep in developing the new Portlet
Administration portlet <http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/x/BwBPAQ> (UP-2047
<http://www.ja-sig.org/issues/browse/UP-2047>), I have put down a
proposal here:
User Interface <http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/UPC/User+Interface>
With two related child pages:
* Markup and CSS Naming Conventions
<http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/UPC/Markup+and+CSS+Naming+Conventions>
* Portlet Markup Template
<http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/UPC/Portlet+Markup+Template>
This proposal builds on past efforts
<http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/UPC/Themes+and+Skins>, manifests
discussions I have had with many of you, reflects threads from this
list, and is an extension of the recent integration of the Fluid
Skinning System in 3.1.
There's still work to be done, so please review and refine. Kindly post
your feedback, comments, and input to this thread so we can all benefit
from the collaboration.
I will be following this proposal myself for completing the development
of the first-pass Portlet Administration portlet
<http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/x/BwBPAQ> UI.
