Just a reminder for this. We should have a final migration date to send out tomorrow.

As a follow up to this I want to give anyone with a SVN account the chance to change their username. When we do the migration Jira and Confluence accounts will be merged but Subversion accounts will NOT. If your SVN username does not match either your Jira or Confluence username please update the wiki page below with which username you would like to use. Once we migrate we will not be able change SVN usernames.

Jasig is working on migrating to a new host for our developer oriented services (wiki, issue tracking, source control, build server). Some of the changes you'll see with this move are new URLs for services, updated versions for applications and hopefully much faster service.

During the move we will be merging the Jira and Confluence user bases. We believe both accounts will still work but if you have different usernames for the two services and would like to just use one of them we'll be putting up instructions for who to contact and how to go about the transition.

For anyone with SVN commit access or for anyone that checks out code from SVN. Some of the changes we're doing to the SVN repository are going to make it such that 'svn switch' will NOT work. Once we have the transition date picked you'll have to either commit all changes to SVN before we switch or create a patch and re-apply it after the switch. Also anyone with a checkout from SVN will have to do a new check out.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. My current estimate is that the migration will be within the next two weeks, with at least one weeks notice. As soon as we have a date and time we will send out an announcement and include an announcement banner on all affected services. The above mentioned services plus everything on developer.jasig.org will be unavailable for several hours while we do the move.
