Thanks for the detailed info, I'll take a look at both the resource aggregator (which should support this) and the rendering pipeline to figure out why the comments are being stripped.

Hello,
There are a couple of issues with uPortal that would benefit from having Internet Explorer version-specific stylesheets. In particular, https://issues.jasig.org/browse/UP-2621 and https://issues.jasig.org/browse/UP-3083

Ideally, this would be accomplished by placing these IE-recognized types of comments in the head of the HTML document:

However, when I try to accomplish this by creating the following <xsl:comment> tag, the comment is not rendered when the page is rendered:
<xsl:comment>[if IE]>

<![endif]</xsl:comment>

If I do this with a client-side XSL template and xml, the comment is rendered properly. However, the uPortal Rendering Pipeline is stripping the comment out. Does anyone know the cause, or more importantly, a solution to this issue?

Thanks! - Jeff
