The uPortal source code in Subversion (https://source.jasig.org) is now read only and we have migrated active development to GitHub: https://github.com/Jasig/uPortal

Within a day or two we will be mirroring commits to trunk and most patches branches back to the SVN repository to keep it up to date for those that depend on SVN merging or externals as part of your local uPortal customization.

One big feature that now exists is that anyone can create fork the uPortal git repository, make some set of changes on the fork, and then request those changes be pulled back into uPortal. Think of this as "submitting a patch" on steroids. For anyone that is interested in learning more about git the links below are quite valuable.
