Hi! Could someone please help with my issues concerning installing uPortal 4.0.2 on Tomcat 7.0 using a PostgreSQL or MySQL database?
Problem is that after following the uPortal manual instructions to the letter I get the following problems: *PostgreSQL* - dbtest goes without a problem, initportal also, but after trying to access the uPortal home page at http://localhost:8080/uPortal, I keep getting the uPortal error page while at the same time, an exception is written to the log: ERROR [uPortal-TaskScheduler-4] stu/29 13:52:21,061 util.JDBCExceptionReporter.[] - Method org.postgresql.jdbc3.Jdbc3PreparedStatement.setQueryTimeout(int) is not yet implemented. *MySQL* - I changed all the settings prior to starting dbtest (default storage engine, maxThreads, ...) but during the dbtest I keep getting the following error and build fails: Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes Full stack traces are attached. Help would be much appreciated so I can finally get a uPortal instance up and running because so far the only uPortal instance working for me is the one that comes with it's own Tomcat server in the Quick start package. http://jasig.275507.n4.nabble.com/file/n4119513/postgresql_error.log postgresql_error.log http://jasig.275507.n4.nabble.com/file/n4119513/mysql_error.log mysql_error.log -- View this message in context: http://jasig.275507.n4.nabble.com/uPortal-4-0-2-PostgreSQL-and-MySQL-problems-tp4119513p4119513.html Sent from the uPortal Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- You are currently subscribed to [email protected] as: [email protected] To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/uportal-dev
