Chris Waymire recently opened an important pull request. It's the
contributed implementation of the uportal-platform-api. It was first
developed for SSP (where it's currently called uportal-java-api).
It's offers easy-to-use, effective, *greatly enhanced* access to...
- Groups
- Permissions
- Person attributes
(NOTE: The Person Attributes stuff is delayed slightly -- it's pending
some work being done by Eric on person-directory v2.)
It would be very helpful to get more eyes on this work an make it as
polished as possible. Owing to it's nature as an API, we have greater
responsibility to support it (without breaking changes) going forward.
