They all warrant an issue. Treating each of your bullet points: 1. Multi-favorite! Issue: Adding a portlet as a favorite via the gear menu doesn't update that menu to switch to "Remove Favorite" without a refresh, and allows multiply adding the favorite though that doesn't make any conceptual sense. Status: This is a "known issue" in the sense that it's known to Wisconsin and I think it's backlogged locally here, and we almost certainly can't go to production without fixing it. Would be great to have an entry in Jasig JIRA for that as well. 2. Removing from favorites removes from the wrong place! Issue: Remove from Favorites instead removes from layout under some circumstances. Status: Also a "known issue" in the sense that it's known to Wisconsin and I think backlogged locally here, and we almost certainly can't go to production beta without fixing it. Would also be great to have an entry in Jasig JIRA for that. 3. Unable to return from favorites collection Issue: There's no navigation to return from favorites collection. Status: Eh. Here at Wisconsin we've customized the portal logo to be clickable to return to the landing screen. Out of the box uPortal should probably have that same feature. But more generally the display of focused-on collections-of-favorites needs love -- it's just a very basic chrome for that now. 4. Unable to add favorite in IE Issue: Adding favorites doesn't work in all browsers. Status: Eh. There's some issues with that in the queue to triage here , but we're also looking to make some decisions about what browsers to support. Which versions of IE are we talking? What are the target browsers for uPortal 4.1 anyway? Here at MyUW, we've got some interesting strata of browser usage from the Google Analytics, and realistically we may need to decide that we just don't support the very-low-usage browsers and instead implement some kind of suggestion that the relatively few users affected by such a policy try another, preferred browser. Maybe. Not fully figured out yet. Favorites is pretty rough and will ship pretty darn rough in uPortal 4.1 initially. Probably should call that out in the release notes and position it as, hey, exciting new feature, but very rough and think of it as "beta".
