On behalf of the uPortal Steering Committee, I would like to introduce
our new Documentation Guru, Tim Raymond. Tim was worked in Higher
Education for over ten years at Cal Poly Pomona. He was a Senior
Application Developer supporting PeopleSoft until 2011 when he accepted
his current position as Director of Campus Applications. In this role he
has been responsible for a variety of campus applications including the
campus portal. He joined the uPortal community in 2013, first by
attending the Open Apereo Conference, and then by bringing uPortal to
Cal Poly Pomona as its next portal platform. He is passionate about the
community and is eager to contribute to it. Increased adoption and
community contribution are keystones he hopes to assist the community with.
With Laura's scaling back the time she is able to contribute to the
uPortal community, Tim will now be keeping an eye on the list traffic
and looking for nuggets of documentation gold. Of course, all of you are
highly encouraged to directly contribute to documentation as well.
I look forward to the renewed energy and ideas Tim brings to the
project. Congratulations, Tim, and thanks in advance!
