I just noticed something new today.
With the upgrade to Hibernate-core 4.2.19Final, uPortal picked up some
new logging that was added in 4.2.8. See
https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-8654 and
https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-8793.
We see the statistics in the portal.log file in local/dev environments
because we have the following in hibernate.cfg.xml
<property name="hibernate.generate_statistics">true</property>
UW Madison, perhaps this might be useful in exploring some of the issues
you had been experiencing. It might also be useful in looking at how we
can improve login performance.
Example log output:
