Aside from modifying the way we auto-generate the D-Bus bindings, I'm not sure.
It is admittedly an annoyance, but harmless.

Yes, we simply need to add the following to dbus.conf:
initctl notify-dbus-address $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
