Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the detailed petroleum engineering work
programme in support of the field development:
- Working closely with other disciplines, undertake analysis of all
petroleum engineering data to aid characterization of well and
reservoir performance for modeling and production optimization.
- Define and optimize the completion design for development wells,
working closely with the completion engineer and drilling team.
- Define and implement the well and production management systems, set
short term production target

- Provide a key role in liaison with BP Migas for the engineering

- Support, mentor and coach less experienced staff.

Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level in Petroleum Engineering or closely related subject.
- Experience in drilling and production operations, both office and well-site
- Expert knowledge of vertical lift performance and pressure transient
analysis techniques and software.
- Well developed knowledge of reservoir simulation software such as Eclipse
- Well developed understanding of and experience in quantifying
reservoir uncertainty and with related technical disciplines.
- Experience and history of dealing with industry regulators (BPMigas)
and JV partners.
- Initiative - Self motivation, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Analytical thinking âidentify and solve technical problems 
- Team Worker â collaborates across teams and departments 
- Communication â able to communicate complex technical arguments
clearly and persuade peers, partners and management.
