The
TEMPLETON ADVANCED RESEARCH PROGRAM of the Metanexus Institute is
pleased to announce a request for proposals competition for $4.6 million in research funds to develop research projects in three topical areas: Area 1 : Religion, Spirituality, Healing and Health Outcomes
Area 2: Religion, Spirituality and Human Flourishing
Area 3: Competitive Dynamics and Cultural Evolution of Religions and God Concepts
To provide more detail about the core issues in each of the three areas, we have commissioned field analyses that are available for download at the program Web site. The field analyses have been conducted by:
-Robert Emmons, University of California, Davis
-Niels Gregersen, University of Copenhagen
-David Hufford, Penn State College of Medicine
-Andrew Newberg, University of Pennsylvania
-Stephen Post, Case Western Reserve University
-Richard Sloan, Columbia University
-Rodney Stark, Baylor University
-David Sloan Wilson, Binghamton University
Letters of intent must be submitted by AUGUST 1, 2005. We encourage
investigators who are interested in conducting research in these areas to visit the program's Web site for complete details:
