<http://ad.detik.com/link/peristiwa/prs-relion.ad>Jakarta - Gempa susulan terus terjadi di Laut Jawa. Pukul 10.15 WIB, gempa susulan dengan kekuatan 4,2 Skala Richter kembali mengguncang Laut Jawa, tepatnya di utara Serang. Pusat gempa berjarak 71,4 km arat barat laut kota Jakarta.
Pusat gempa tektonik ini terjadi di kedalaman 433 km di bawah laut pada koordinat 106,28 ujur Timur dan 5,82 Lintang Selatan.
Informasi itu disampaikan Hendra Rahman, petugas BMG di Kantor Pusat BMG, Jalan Angkasa I, Jakarta Pusat, Kamis (20/7/2006). "Dengan begini potensi gempa masih melingkari Jakarta," kata Hendra.
Rabu 19 Juli sore, gempa dengan kekuatan 6,2 SR juga terjadi di Selat Sunda, tepatnya Pulau Panaitan di selatan Ujungkulon pada koordinat 6,54 derajat Lintang Selatan dan 105,2 derajat Bujur Timur di kedalaman 48 kilometer, namun getarannya terasa di Jakarta hingga III-IV MMI.(umi)
