Administrative Director / Kepala Sekolah Needed

Pelangi Learning Center is an alternative bilingual school located in Ubud, 
Bali. We are a parent-initiated project opened in July 2006, and we are growing 
quickly. Currently we serve a multicultural population of more than 30 
children, who range in age from 3 years to 9 years. The children include local 
Indonesian children, bi-cultural children, and foreign children. Between them 
they speak 8 languages! We offer a bilingual, English-Indonesian program at all 
levels, with classes taught co-operatively by teams of local and foreign 
teachers.

Candidate must be able to:
1. manage school administration, programs and activities in accordance with 
school policy and priorities.
2. create Annual Work Program with Supervisory Board, report to Yayasan Board.
3. With the Supervisory Board, engage in long-range planning for the school, 
actively seeking to improve and innovate. 
4. Keep all staff informed and seek ideas for the improvement of the school. 
Conduct meetings as necessary for the proper functioning of the school.
5. With Supervisory Board, take responsibility for recruiting, hiring and 
evaluation of staff; development of employment policies, job descriptions and 
contracts; tracking monthly salary payments. Establish a procedure for 
orienting new employees.
6. conduct supervision and evaluation of non-teaching staff.
7. Maintain good communication with Parents
8. Attend PTA meetings as a representative of the school administration, and 
guide PTA officers in accordance with school policies and priorities.
9. Take responsibility for production of informational materials (brochures, 
ads) and maintenance of website, communicating with families of prospective 
students by email, telephone, or in person.
10. Maintain smooth relations with Dinas Pendidikan, and take responsibility 
for ensuring that school programs are developed and implemented in accordance 
with pertinent rules and regulations as defined by the Dinas Pendidikan.
11. Make monthly reports to Diknas
12. Attend meetings as required by DIKNAS
13. Budgeting and Expenditures Tracking – With Supervisory Board, develop 
annual budget plan. Work with Office Manager to ensure accurate monitoring and 
reporting of expenditures and income. 
14. Work with Office Manager to ensure that written records of meetings, parent 
letters, policy documents, etc. are kept and filed in an orderly manner in the 
school office.
15. Maintain complete staff and student records and ensure confidentiality of 
records.
16. Take responsibility for the overall safety and welfare of teachers, staff 
and students.
17. Oversee conditions of school facilities and supervise maintenance staff to 
support cleanliness and safety. Ensure first aid supplies and emergency 
equipment is maintained in good condition.
18. Establish schedules and procedures for safety and supervision of students 
at school and during field trips. Ensure emergency training is provided to 
school staff as needed. Ensure emergency procedures are clearly posted.

Candidate should
- speak fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia
- be competent in Word and Excel
- have basic accounting skills - able to supervise Office Manager in school 
bookkeeping
- have excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate smoothly and 
effectively with local government officials, as well as with local and 
international parents
- have a love of children and deep concern for education
- Minimal S1 degree

Candidate should be a proven leader. Should have project management experience, 
or school leadership experience.Financial management as well as human resources 
management experience.
