Hello!
While running the configure script for version 10 I saw this happen:
checking for libusb-config... /usr/bin/libusb-config
checking for usb_find_devices... yes
checking for libftdi-config... /usr/bin/libftdi-config
checking for ftdi_usb_open... yes
checking for FT_OpenEx in -lftd2xx... no
configure: WARNING: *** libftd2xx not found. No support for FTDI-based USB JTAG
cables via libftd2xx.

Regarding the libftdi-config line, that one I discovered was built in
the copy of the library I have, version 0.16 and I promptly copied it
over to the /usr/bin location. The matching library is in /usr/lib.

But what is it talking about there? Is that remark about the library
described on the FTDIchip site itself? That one isn't even distributed
as open source as it happens.
And as it ends, it says this:
jtag is now configured for

Does that last line confirm my reasoning? Or do I need to ask a
different question. Please advise.
