Actually, it seems like gnome-terminal (at least) will send a number of
'up' or 'down' escape sequences proportional to the vertical size of the
terminal.   Pretty neat.

You can add "handle_mouse = False" to the MainLoop creation in
input_test.py and try it for yourself.
